@Candace - STAY on the Proactiv for now!! It will NOT prematurely age your skin, I promise.  That is a myth.  Use Proactiv until you can either:

1.  get our training DVD, get certified and buy our products; or

2.  become along-distance client of ours to get your acne under control.

To check the Nioxin for pore cloggers, go here:  http://facerealityacneclinic.com/articles/pore_clogging.php

It is probably not the Nioxin that is the problem.  The problem is that you stopped the bpo of the Proactiv.

Ok thanks. I am going to go back to proactiv for now. can you send me your DVD? I would love to hear all about it. my address is 608 Sandberg Street Myrtle beach SC 29575

Hi Candace - you can either order it on our website via paypal; or call our office at 866-477-3077 to order.

Ok thanks. What is your website?

The link is in the above post, but here you go.  http://facerealityacneclinic.com/articles/acne_skincare_professiona...

You're welcome, Laura.  Your system has been a complete game-changer in my efforts to get acne clients clear!

I advise my acne clients to do a daily, gentle exfoliation using nutrients and microdermabrasion crystals.  Amazing results with all kinds of acne.  Nutrifoliant Nutrient Exfoliation Powder used daily during cleanses.  Let  me know if you would like to try the product which I formulate and manufacture.  Nutrifoliant.com.

I am an esthetician with microbiology degree and have used this product on hundreds of clients.  The testimonials speak for themselves.  You will be amazed with nutrient penetration using microdermabrasion crystals will do for skin health.

Glymed has an amazing acne line that has won many awards. There are things that can help, but hormonal acne is hard. The problem with hormonal ance is that it is hormonal- in order to clear it up, you will need to get your hormones checked out by a Dr.

Respectfully, I disagree with Corine.  I have had good success clearing hormonal acne without the client getting herhormones checked, and on the occasions that I think medical intervention would be helpful, I recommend naturopaths, who use much more precise and sophisticated tests for measuring hormone levels and balance than do MD's.

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but I have achieved amazing results with my clients' skin using an active glycolic cleanser and with an exfoliating nutrient booster.  Nutrifoliant Nutrient Exfoliating Powder, mixed with a glycolic cleanser at the point of use, results in clearing acne as well as overall skin improvement.

You can help hormonal acne- but if it is contributed to PCOS, then you are never going to be able to fully rid a person of the acne because it is hormonal. Just like laser hair removal- if a woman is having excessive hair growth on her face because of hormones, laser hair removal will not permanently reduce the hair because the hormonal imbalance is what is causing the hair growth. If her hormones are out of whack because she has cysts- it is an internal factor. You can use great products to help it look better- but she needs to get her hormones back on track.

Yes, Corine, I agree.  Symptomatic relief does not cure the problem at its root:  hormone imbalance.  But the strength and health of one's skin can be improved so that it is not so vulnerable to the hormonal causes.  I see the solution resolved fundamentally internally as well as externally, secondarily.  Bottom line:  I agree, this is a medical issue.
