The spa where I work has had trouble with maglamps. They constantly become too loose to do extractions or skin analysis without holding the magnifying glass in place.
So my boss said she will splurge on really good ones if I can find them, ones that will not wear out quickly explicitely not made from china like the other ones she bought.
So I saw the newer technology lamps that we dont need to tighten - I guess there is a spring in them.
Does anyone have experience with the newer maglamps?
I found this I guess the brand is called Luxo and its the Circus maglamp

Thanks for any info
That looks like an amazing lamp but an excellent one that is less money is this German lamp. 'Spas best' owner Joe is really good to work with and will discuss any products with you even before you buy them.

When I do extactions I use a head magnifyer instead and just use the light from my mag light. May be an option to think about.
ok thanks girls. seems like nobody has invested in these newer lamps. One arrived today and it was nice and easy to move but a bit unhappy with the click sound when adjusting the lamp...just so you all know but its a quick click just not used to that.
We had one of those and returned it- there is older ones/better ones/who cares if it's 50 years old or 3 days- If your not paying then I guess you don't- the click gets worse- we had a year warranty and returned it after less than 60 days. I also use a variety of mag lights from hardware stores or Online Spa whole sale ( have 3 that cost less than $200. THE Head mags are great and you can get the ones that provide eye protection ( which is law in some states). ...
I am just laughing cause you mentioned click or I would have not commented. I feel ours got loose too and it was $400 or somewhere ridiculously close. Just the mag and light on stand.
Thank You, any company you recommend???
