hello. please contact me if you are interested in a barber chair. our spa no longer needs it, and the owner would like to sell. there are other items you may be interested in too. all in perfect condition, cheaper then retail. she had to consolidate her spa and salon, and has lots of furnature, product, and equiptment that needs unloading.
Denise, I use Tu'el products from the Wax Queen-essential oil blend after
completing waxing, Clear It and Platinum Soothing Creme. I recommend they start exfoliating in 48 hours, with exfoliating gloves and bath gel, (some might need the addition of a scrub) and moisturizer when they've dried off. If she always welts up might be an allergic reaction and some say to have them take something like Bendryl 30 min before appointment.
Hi Denise
I use PCA SKIN Peels and home care products.
Treating hyperpigmentation can be tricky but the key to treating it is understanding the cause. Some medications like birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy and other drugs to treat hypo/hyperthyroidism can cause hyperpigmentation. As well as trauma to the skin. Also diuretics and antibiotics can make the skin more sensitive to the sun resulting in pigment issues.
It's so important to educate your clients as to what they need to do at home to prevent their pigmentation from getting worse during and after treatment. Home care products are a MUST or they are just throwing money away. So they need to use a good quality pigment product and sunscreen DAILY. I have many clients with melasma that have had excellent results with a combination of PCA SKIN peels (TCA's Sensi Peel and Ultra Peel I) and home care. My product of choice is PCA's Pigment Gel Hydroquinone Free. With some clients that have very difficult to lift pigment, I start them with the PCA Pigment Gel that has hydroquinone. They use this product for 4-6 weeks (it's not safe for long term use) then switch over to the HQ free formula. I get great results with most clients that are on this regimen and have 6-8 peels twice a year. Some take 8-10 peels.
Hope this helps!
Denise
The closest I have right now is in New Jersey but we will be adding in more things in that area later in the year. What exactly are you looking to gain from an apprenticeship? I work with salons and schools across the country so I can keep my eye out. I also run a group on Facebook and LinkedIn called Esty2Esty, that's a great place to network too, feel free to post on there as well.
Hi Denise, sorry just checked my email. Not sure If I can help you but will try.
