I have a client that has this all over his scalp and some on his nose and cheeks. I am able to soften it and lesson some of it with facial treatments. I am wondering if anyone has any advice. What would be the best exfoliation and oils to use. He is checked regularly by his dermatologist and doesn't particularly like the freezing off solution. Thanks

What product line are you currently using to treat his condition during facials?
I have used skin script a few times the kiwi mask and the coconut papaya (trying to exfoliate without irritation he's a little sensitive) . Then I will use an Aveda infusion oil for dry skin then treat with an Aveda intensive hydrating. last time i also use Aveda's refining mask. it all helps. I was hoping others had more insight or info on successful treatments.  thanks

I have found that Environ's Dermalac lotion is amazing. I believe it's now called Hydration lotion.  He can use it on his head for sure.
I wasn't able to find that under either name. hmmm? I'll look again. Thanks

I know this a late reply but PCA Skin has a Smoothing Body Peel which is used for psoriasis, acne, hyperpigmentation, etc. Also, Sensi Peel is a gentle peel used on the face but also can be used to treat conditions on the body as well. You might want to look into being PCA Skin certified like I am, I love their gentle but effective peels and product line! PCA Skin Just came out with a Body Therapy lotion..it feels great and non greasy..here's the link to it..http://www.pcaskin.com/ppp.aspx?cid=1&sid=5&pid=80

katrina is pca a organic line?

Many dermatologists recommend that client's with this kind of skin lesion have ongoing superficial peels.

It is important to keep these cells turning over.  Choose your peel based on client's Fitzpatrick and sensitivity.

If client is sensitive, Lactic Acid might be a good choice.  I follow this up with SilicoLipid Serum by Medicalia.

Very soothing and restores the lipid mantle.  And, of course, always SUNSCREEN!  Hope that helps.  The SLS is a great treatment, also, if client finally consents to medical treatment.  Then when skin is healed start with monthly peels.  The SLS will help his skin heal rapidly from treatment.
