Anyone hear of this? Friend of mine in AZ approached me about it. I'm not one to fall for these things, but I am a bit intrigued with it. Body wraps that you can do at the spa and customers can take home with them. Thoughts?

Do a search for "It Works" wraps...

it's been around for awhile.

It's an MLM

and from most reports it doesn't work

I have done them on myself.  First time I saw results that lasted maybe 24 hours (stomach area).  I have also done them on thighs and nothing.  Definite MLM and it is EVERYWHERE!!!  You have professional products available to you such as M'Lis (spelling) that I think would give you better results...also maybe paired with an Infrared body wrap suit.

I agree with Sheila on this one.  I would not spend money or time on an MLM product such as It Works, when we as licensed professional can utilize a product such as M'Lis that does work :)

Thanks, ladies. That's why I love this site! I contacted M'Lis so I could get this started in my location, a while back, and still haven't heard anything or received the kit in the mail. I feel the same way about MLM companies, and wanted some honest feedback. Thank so much for replying!

By the way, all ... I received my M'Lis free sample body contour kit today. Anyone else?

I ahven't contacted them but I will, or I will wait until June and visit them at the Premiere Show.

Let us all know your results! I love M'Lis wraps, and personally find them effective for my clientele.

The scary part about this MLM is licensed professionals are using these in spas.  There is a well known, well respected spa in my area using this, as well as a few licensed estheticians I know are selling this/using it in their treatment space.  Spas are even having It Works parties.  That's the part I don't get, why are licensed pros falling for this?

Even scarier...

MLM sellers are targetting industry professionals.

I am sure they do the happy dance when they find one gullible enough to sign on.

All of the MLM's that I can think of off-hand are encouraged to target licensed professionals (arbonne, nerium, rodan fields, etc), and they are relentless!

BTW - I already use the M'Lis Wrap in my practice - it's the only company that I trust. Ingredients are safe and well tested, and best of all, there are no ridiculous claims made.  Many people that have received the wraps from me went on to make even more positive health changes/choices. This company is the one to go with if you are serious about using quality products.

(LOL - sorry that sounds like an advertisement! )

I agree Cindy! A professional should not be using an MLM product in my opinion. I am about to start using Mlis too. We have a lot of ITWorks people in our chamber of commerce and surrounding area. They are constantly asking me to bring their wraps into my spa. I respond my saying that I do not use MLM.

Not at all, Cindy! What encourages me to join a bandwagon of a professional product line is when a fellow esthi talks so highly of it. Is it what's in the creme that really works, or is it it the wrap itself? I would like to offer something different, without having a shower or a full day spa. There are women who want to do spa days or packages, and I want to offer more than just the regular facial or waxing. I love that you have clients that made positive health changes - how wonderful that must feel to know that you encouraged them! Do you have good luck with M'Lis and the customer service? Is there a minimum order requirement?

I like the Tuel bodywrap It's similar to Mlis but much less expensive.
