I am a newer esthetician who is soon to be leasing a room in a wellness center. Choosing my product line has been the biggest challenge for me. I vacillate between cosmeceutical lines, with their results oriented approaches and a botanically based, all natural approach.
Can any of you share your product line experiences and your recommendations for a wonderful all natural line? And anyone who feels that cosmeceutical is the way to go please share too!

I have been using an all organic skincare line for the last 3+ years.
It's Eminence Organic's.
It is by far the most exciting, effective and natural skincare line that I have used.
They have professional products as well as retail products. They provide great representative education and tips for mixing and use.
The only downside, is the intital ordering price. But, I found it was totally worth it!
Thank you so much for responding Andrea! :) I have been looking into them over the weekend. Also found Ilike, supposedly their parent company. Many people seem to have opinions over the whole relationship. I shall call them soon. Do you find that their products produce really good results, especially for your acne and anti-aging clients? I didn't see any acne products that looked like they could do much for moderate(+) acne.
I provide ultrasound treatments for people with Acne- It jump starts their program after a deep cleanse.
Then I send them home to use the products and they get really good results. Mainly they use the serums and masks.
I found the ilike products dried out quicker than eminence
I have used Ilike for 6 years and have also tried Emminence. I think that Ilike has come a long way in improving their products. I especially see the difference in the last 2 years. I suggest Ilike, and if you are thinking of a corrective line that combines the organic/natural I highly suggest Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare. They have also come a long way. They were using the Ilike masks which are really awesome but now use farms in the US for their organic masks. My rep is coming this week & spending about 1-1/2 hrs with me for training. I believe they are a good company and Dr. Johnson does alot of education on-line. Also no minimum order (important when you are starting out).

The financial decisions for newbies straight out of school is stressful. estes have enough to worry about just pulling together funds for equipment, let alone coming up with funds for thier outragous opening orders! I have used Eminence (not related to Ilike) Jan Marini and Rhonda Allison over the past ten years of my practice and retail business. When the economy began it's downturn about 3 years ago I invested in Osmosis! I have been pleased with all! If you have limited funds to invest in a skin care line I would recommend Osmosis-easy to work with and good price points!
Ray
Thank you sooo much for recommending Osmosis! I had looked at their website recently but went back to it today to give it a long look (especially swayed after seeing that 2 of you posted about them. I called them and was very impressed - talked to someone for a long time about their philosophy and products. It was so along my lines of thinking that I was utterly amazed. There is a lot I like about Emminence and Ilike, but after my medical esthetics training I've been swayed by results and worry a tad if they can perform like a medical line. I will definitely give them a deeper look as well though and am grateful for the recommendations.
I would love to hear about your experiences with Osmosis. Lucky you have a rep, Patricia. Do you too, Ray? - none yet in WA.
YAY! - I may have finally met a line that fits me. :) If so I shall be eternally grateful to you two...how would I ever have learned about them without these forums? Wow.
Madeleine
We have an incredible rep from the LA area that drives 3.5 hours one way to service our account! Amazing-and she is so knowledgable on so many topics involving our industry! Otherwise the office in Denver is awesome and so helpful. While I carry 4 skin lines, I have never seen the results in clearing acne clients like Osmosis in all my 10 years!!! Go go to a seminar and listen to Dr Johnson if you ever have a chance! He's not bad to look at either!!! lol!

If I may jump into this discussion - I am a newly licensed Esthetician and I have been researching product lines. I had immediately dismissed Osmosis because of my difficulty navigating the website. The site seems incongruous to the natural philosophy. The videos are bizarrely produced (green screen - then tacking on a faux news room?) and basically the feeling is cheap and unprofessional. If there is a different Osmosis site, please point me to it.
I guess what I am asking is given the great reviews above, how have you been able to look beyond the online "face" of Osmosis and select products and understand protocols?
Thank you so much,
Julia in Woodinville, WA
Julia, I totally know what you mean. That is why I didn't spend much time there on my first visit to the site. Maybe the site is somewhat new? I didn't see the faux news room, LOL, will have to look for that. He is young, perhaps trying a new approach like he does with his skin care? Now once I talked to Caitlyn, I was so impressed... tons of knowledge, spent a long time answering my many questions, sent me a ton of information via email. Next I will test some products - they have smaller sizes of many items. So we shall see.
Ray, good to hear about the acne. They told me that they have phenomenal results with it. And yes, Dr Johnson is a cutie, LOL!!
Madeleine
Andrea- I was told by another esty today that Eminence only allows 1 salon per city to carry their products? Do you know if this is true?
Thanks!
Necia
Necia,
It is my understanding that there are restrictions placed on accounts, based on location. I live in Napa and there are many accounts in this area, so the radius must be smaller... 3-5 miles?
Julia, Ray & Madeleine,
I have also considered adding Osmosis to my practice. It's great to find other estheticians are as enthusiastic about this line.
Julie
I just ordered a bunch of Osmosis products to try. May sound odd but I am also so curious what the smell of the line is like. How would you who have used it describe it? I am wondering if it is going to be okay for those clients that are not really seeking a medi/results oriented facial. Know what I mean... is it spa-ish as well?
