Ok so I just went yesterday to a hair salon that is looking for an Esthetician. I am still not making a paycheck at my business so I thought I could pick up something a few days a week when I am slower, Mon-Wed to get a little income. This place really doesn't have a skin care aspect, they "offer" skin care but no esthetician. I haven't accept the position yet, still thinking about it. The room is ok, definitely needs some tlc, and the first thing I noticed was the dirty wax pot so that would have to go...but nonetheless they have Botanical Science. I know nothing about this product. Can anyone shed some light for me? I signed up for an account so I can view them online but I would love to have feedback from professionals that have used it or are using. Pros, cons, favorite products, treatments, etc. Thank you in advance!!

A classmate of mine (who is a massage therapist) was able to order from this company. She brought them to class and allowed use to use them. I really liked their pumpkin mask. I loved the feel and scent of the products she had. She too loved them and was very impressed with the pricing. She did mention that she would have to create a protocol because none was included with her purchase. My instructor was so impressed that she decided to order some for herself. They will only send their products to licensed professionals. I do like that about their products.
This is a line I would like to order when I get my license. Hopefully as soon as next Tuesday after taking my practical.
Their site appears to be back working. http://www.botanicalscience.net
I know several people that love this line.
I sampled them when I was looking for an affordable skin care line for my start up.
I deleted their product/price list on a recent computer clean out - but as I recall this is primarily a retail line. They have masques, but I don't really remember that they had enzymes or peels so you would want to supplement with something if that is the case. The only esfoliator I remember is a microdermabrasion creme/scrub. I did like the Limu cleanser - it's a green gel but it has lactic acid in it so your skin feels so soft! The AHA/BHA cleanser is good for acne. I don't think I liked any of the masques though.
As already noted - this is an extremely affordable line.
The cleansers were decent, as well as the moisturizers. I did not LOVE anything in their line - but I know people that do love it. I used it on myself - the higher end products (vitamin C moisturizer and peptide serum) -for quite awhile and did not experience any improvement. But on a happy note - did not have any adverse reactions.
If the clientele is not very sophisticated and doesn't get regular facials this would be an okay line to use as the product pricing is so low that they would probably make purchases.
As you know I went with Skin Script Rx.
BTW - the dirty wax pot is typical in a salon - all the stylists use it but none of them ever clean it up.
Thanks for the advice. i went ahead and contacted them and they are sending me information. I haven't decided if I am going to go with the salon, I am on the fence. part says yes part wonders will it be worth it in gas, etc etc. I just need something to keep me busy on the days that I don't have clients or I am going to go stir crazy :). I tend to function better when I am busier, when I am slow, i get really lazy, oddly. I may try to talk them into some skin scripts Cindy since I am so familiar with them and clients love them as well. I also told her about the Berodins wax and she is interested. Right now they are using satin smooth, which I think it typical of salon as well.
Salons can be great for estheticians because you can build up your clientele pretty quick from the salon "traffic flow"- however, the majority of your clients will probably come to you for wax. Plus, even though you love SkinScripts, it is always good to be knowledgeable in other lines. :)
