She called yesterday and said she used to have to talk pills but lost 60 lbs.mand doesn't need to anymore. Also she is interested in microcurrent.....any concerns I should be informed of estys?
I don't have any direct experience with this, but I know one of the things about Type 2 diabetes (the kind that can be controlled by lifestyle changes instead of medication, so this sounds like your client) is that there can be issues with reduced sensation and wound healing. It might be best to ask the client to get her doctor's permission, and then at least you know you're both fully informed. I don't know anything about how it would affect microcurrent, but the wound healing aspect would definitely be a concern for Brazilians just because there's so much potential for skin lifting or worse. Has she been waxed anywhere before, and did that go okay for her?
Wound healing is a concern Rosemarie. Another concern is that if any nerve damage has occurred from the high sugars your client might not be able feel the natural pain to respond when they should. I've only heard of this happening in the extremities (the feet). Type two diabetics usually see a endocrinologist every three months, a podiatrist and a opthamologist once or twice a year. So your client should be very aware of what they can have done.
