Maybe I should have taken some courses in state business laws, because things are starting to get confusing.

I work independently/booth rent in two separate states (indiana and arizona).  I was initially working in Indiana under business license "X", and later got a second business license "YZ" in Arizona.  I made money under each individual license in both states during the past year.  I purchased products and equipment, and paid for training that was used for both licenses.

Now I'm going to do my taxes and I'm wondering if there could have been a more cohesive way to go about it...I'm seeing something about foreign qualification?  My current Az business is going to be dissolved within the year, but if I decide to booth rent again, I would like to know if there's an easier way.

Does anyone else do business in various states?  How do you go about it?  Any insight will be helpful, I always appreciate real-world knowledge ;)
