ok so I'm researching Butylene Glycol. Reported on one website to be a rapidly absorbing metabolized within the body solvent or humectant considered to be very safe although high doses will cause neuromodulator effect. On another website devoted to finding all natural ingredients to replace harsh chemicals was an article written by someone with alot of appriciation for this due to the fact that she had a run in with cancer and now uses only safe cosmetic ingredients food etc. She claims this ingredient is linked directly to and causes depression coma vomitting and drowsiness. not in that order. What is the story with this ingredient. True or False Safe or Not Safe?

I haven't heard or seen anything about butylene glycol, I've just seen toxicities listed for propylene, ethylene, and polyethylene glycols....can you share the links to the above articles you have referred to?  Thanks for sharing this!  I am always trying to find safer alternatives to cosmetics.  I really wish the FDA would actually regulate the cosmetics industry. Its so frustrating to have to go over every product with a fine tooth comb.  And at least we have the knowledge to do so! Our clients have no idea what to look for!  I give my clients a hand out with "toxic ingredients to avoid" in their skin care.  Message me if you would like a copy to give to yours:)

I would like one!  Thanks. :)

Can I have one Han out to give my clients too?

I'd love to have a copy to hand out to my clients as well.

Thanks for sharing.

I want to thank you for returning my message and your awareness.  The links are as follows http://www.healthy-communications.com/butylene.htm and http://www.beautynewsla.com/natural-living/but-but%E2%80%A6butylene... They were easy to access right on Google. It really is helpful to have other skin care professionals to reach out to with similar likes. This way the appreciation of what were using can be discussed. Its amazing really, the science behind it all, and the client will see if you believe in what your selling. If it really is liquid or creamy gold! The toxic ingredient list would be very helpful. Please send it to my email. raunderwood89@gmail.com. Thank you again.
