I am wanting to expand to spray tanning this spring and have read all your reviews on different products you like but I am wondering if you need to purchase the brand HVLP gun or not. Specifically I have been looking into purchasing the Norvell Start up Kit, for about $500 that comes with practice spray and then maybe a liter or actual tanning solution. However, I have seen on ebay a 700w HVLP gun with a tent for $150. I realize you generally get what you pay for, but I know from experience sometimes there are things you can purchase cheaper in order to buy better quality of other things, unfortunately its usually after you buy all the expensive things, you realize what you could have spent less on. :)

Hello Marissa,

Thank you for the great information. have you taken a class on spray tanning? Or do you think its required?

I wish there was a class on spray tan where we can obtain client safety etc.
