Can you share your most rewarding experience as an esthetician?
I am looking for some inspirational moments to share with future skin care professionals when I visit schools and speak to students about what a wonderful industry they will be entering when they graduate. Can you share with me your most rewarding experience as an esthetician so I can pass this on to students? THANK YOU!

Recently a client I last saw last year came back for another facial. She has had a number of physical problems including back surgery and cancer. Since I work at a hotel spa it's normal for clients to forget my name and not request me when they rebook. So it was just luck that she was booked with me. When she saw me come to greet her, her face lit up. I remembered that last time her skin was especially sensitive so I made sure she was comfortable with whatever products I used and that she was comfortable on the table. Once I applied the mask and started massaging her hands and arms she let out a long sigh and said "oh for a few moments I have forgotten to think about my health problems and I feel like I've been transported to a heavenly place." After she dressed and it was time to leave we gave each other a wonderful hug. It's clients like Marta who make my work very worthwhile and rewarding.
