Hello everyone!

What do you use to wrap client's hair back? I have been using head bands but I have to keep adjusting them and it is annoying and my clients hair is always a little wet.

What can I use that won't move at all? Thanks

Rebecca

I like using facial caps.  Unlike headbands, they don't smash the front of the clients hair so after the treatment the hair falls right back into place.

That's why I use Tassi Headbands! they're the best headbands to use on clients and they love them! No more ponytails or fixing the headband constantly..and fits all head sizes, they're a little stretchy but never get stretched out of shape. Here's the link, check them out! http://www.tassicompany.com/

Also, the "hot pink" ones are my favorite because it doesn't show make up as obvious as it would on other colors such as light blue and lilac, that way you can reuse it for the next client when they come in for waxing. I always change to a new one when doing facials because they still get a little wet from the steamer no matter what. I just noticed on their website they have new color options available now.

urk! I don't think you should re-use them on different clients.

What if someone had head lice or something?

I give clients a choice between an hair band (velcro) or a light "bonnet" that slips over the entire head.  They usually choose the hair band but the bonnet is actually more comfortable because it doesn't "grip" the head.  I also provide a brush or comb (sanitized) for them to use after their service.  I remember post-treatment (before I became an esto)  feeling disshelveled because of my hair and that the spa should provide something to help you with that so I do now!  And my clients do notice and appreciate it.

I discard the bonnets and the headbands are properly washed so there is no cross contamination.  My brushes/combs are also santized (I have several sets).

I can't ever get the knack of headbands - and I don't like readjusting them all the time.

What works best for me is just a microfiber handtowel (like Softees - they are a little stretchy) folded on the diagonal and I tuck the pointy ends under their head/neck. Don't have to use a bobby pin or anything, if you stretch the towel a little as your tuck the ends in it stays nice and tight.

When I am at hair shows, some of the vendors sell a version of nurses caps. They look like accordions till you open them up. Really neat. If they have extra long hair, I will use the Tassel Brand to assist. It really works. Let me know

True, I probably shouldn't reuse it at all..more laundry for me then! Still love my Tassi though.

LOL! I know - never ending laundry.

Better safe than sorry though.  And I would want my esthetician to use all clean and fresh linens on me. If I knew even the headband had been used on the previous client I probably wouldn;t return.
