Personally I wouldn't recommend this line for results-oriented skin care.

Susan, why do you say that?  I have  gotten great results with this product line and protocols.

Really Susan, I find that interesting.  What line would you recommend for results -oriented skin care?

Thanks

Stacey

If you want to get results in your treatment room there are so many great product lines out there. Dermalogica is so very basic and limited. I am a graduate of IDI and I took all the training and product classes for dermalogica and have all their training videos. When I graduated from esthetics school and got my license I immediately started my post graduate education and training at Dermalogica and IDI and had planned on only using Dermalogica however I found that I just could not get fantastic immediate results in my treatment room with Dermalogica so started exploring other lines and sought out continued advanced education outside their walls. The following lines are what I use and recommend if you want great results for your clients however these are just what I use, there are so many other product lines out there that will also give you fantastic results in your treatment room. Dermalogica is just not on the top of my list. Many agree with me. Some do not. I am stating my opinon regarding this based on my own experience. If you want great results and success for your clients with acne; I highly recommend Face Reality Acne Skin Care. For Anti Aging I highly recommend Le Mieux. And for peels I love PCA. I retail all of these lines and I get fabulous results for my clients with these lines in my treatment room and for their homecare. Whatever you choose, I wish you much success. Warm Regards, Susan

Almost a year later, I will agree, I do get better anti-aging results with  Circadia.  I do like Dermalogica exfoliators and masks better, but as far as home care and enzymes, Cirdadia is the better choice.  These are the only 2 lines I will use on my own skin.

I use Dermalogica and love it, but I'm not in Toronto.  Dermalogica has great education at IDI schools.  Check into the one in your area and take some product classes to learn about the line.

I am in Rhode Island and I have been retailing Dermalogica for 4 years. My cleints love it and the product sells it self as I do not use it in the treament room. Dermalogica has education centers everywhere therefore, I would suggest you contct them and set up a meeting with your local rep. I would HIGHLY reccomend this brand. You will not regret it.... Best of luck!

tnx all of you i already joined IDI so gona explore more about the line .

You know, I've worked with Dermalogica for 13 years and, while I like the line, I have to agree with Susan. I worked at a large day spa for 9 years and we used their products for a lot of our backabar, and retailed them along with MD Formulations, Glo and Skin Ceuticals. When I started a private practice in 08' I paid the whopping $4K to get a Dermalogica account because the line is so extensive and I was very familar with it.

Since that time, I've come to believe it is somewhat limited. It's great for starting out, their education is wonderful, and it is effective for maintance, healthy skin, basic anti aging, etc....however, when I am presented with a situiation where I actually want to correct a skin condition, I hit a wall. I am currently exploring the idea of bringing on a more results oriented, corrective line. Just my opinion.

Oh, not to mention the fact that their product is now being sold at ULTA, Sears, all sorts of discounted websites, etc. It's very frustrating when you as an individual practitioner make such a huge investment and then clients can just run to the store any time they want and pick up their product rather than waiting to some in and see you (the professional) for it.  Grr.

tnk u so much all of u i,m juz taking classes and started using dermalogica for myself to see :)so far its ok let see .....
