Discounts for Co-workers

Do you offer discounts for the people you work with? If so, how do you charge them for services and products? I've been in this business for 5 years now but still feel naive to the business side of things and offering too many discounts to people.

I do discount for coworkers but it's only a few people.

I offer massage at$40, facials or peels at $45, facial waxing for $5, and skincare products at wholesale.

They in turn give me similar discounts.

I do NOT like to do trades because that really doesn't work.

If you want to do discounted services just make sure that everyone agrees on the rates.

I don't think I would do their service for free...I do give referral rewards to clients of $10 - I give these to coworkers also. I let them know that they can use them towrds their discounted rate OR give them to one of their clients.

Any stylist, etc. that comes in new to the salon, I give them their first facial free so they can experience my work. After that, everyone gets my services at half price and skincare products at cost plus $2 per product to cover my shipping. It's funny, they expect to pay for a facial but when they ask me to wax their brows/lip, they never offer, just say thanks and hop off the table! If I could start over, I would still do the first one free but then after that, I would give them $20 of credit per facial client they refer to me. There are just certain stylists who refer and those who don't and I don't really feel like the ones who don't refer should get the same deal.

hola! tengo 2 semanas que habri mi negocio de piel, mi pregunta es que especiales puedo poner para que la gente venga!! mitad d precio? ago faciales,microdermabrasion,todo tipo d wax,eyelash extencion etc,

que me recomiendan ahora que esto empezando!!! ;)

Hola Johanna, Felicidades!!, yo tambien acabo de empezar mi negocio este jueves, la vemtaja q tenemos es q empezamos en un magnifico mes cuando todo mundo esta buscando especiales para regalar. Yo te recomendaria q en lugar de ofrecer descuentos ofrezcas paquetes, x ej, microdermabrasion gratis en la compra de un facial o wax de cejas gratis en la compra de un bikini wax, etc. de esa manera das a conocer varios servicios a la vez y sigues teniendo un buen ingreso. Ah y ofrece certificados de regalo, yo estoy ofreciendo un certificado de $20 en la compra de uno de $100.
