I worked both on the strip in Las Vegas at a premier resort, and in Wisconsin at a day spa. At both places I was paid commission only. I do know that some of the other spas, in both locations, pay commission plus hourly. With that type of structure, the commission rate is typically less.
pay rates are so varied and subjective it hardly seems worth the time to investigate
City vs. country, Day spa vs. medical, % vs fee, hourly vs. commission and combinations thereof
Instead of spending time finding out what other people make doing different jobs in different settings in different cities/states, you might be better served spending that time figuring out what your time and talents are truly worth to you and finding an employer that will pay you that much.
