Hey everyone,

I feel like I've been blowing up this Forum since I joined yesterday. I'm really glad I found it. I had been doing a lot of reading on the salongeek.com forum (for the UK) but was excited to find a way to connect with Estys in my own country!

ANYWAY- I'm thinking of investing in some new equipment in 2013.

I've been looing into the Hydrfacial touch system - which has the diamond tip, lymphatic and LED along with the actual hydrafacial exfoliation (The rep has a demo unit for $22K Eeek! Super expensive for a demo!).

As far as microcurrent goes, I'm looking at the CACI Ultimate (with diamond microderm and LED), the Diamond Medilift, and the Hydrodermie.

I also have requested information from Bio-Theraputics on all of their offerings.

I like the idea of the Hydrafacial and CACI because it is so nice to have multiple functions in one machine. I have a somwhat small space to work in and hate to have a bunch of machines sitting around taking up room. Wish that Edge systems had a microcurrent function to add to the Hydrafacial.

I would really love to hear from anyone who has experience with these modalities or the specific companies/machines. It is so overwhelming to try and figure out what is marketing hype vs. what will offer true results for clients. Also, so many of these companies want you to use their products with the machines, you have to try and calculate how that will add to the cost of an already rather large investement in equipment. It is SO frustrating!

How do you feel about the ROI on these paticular offerings? How have clients responded? I'm looking to get the most bang for my buck, stay current with the new therapies that clients are asking about, and get great results for my clientele.

I'm also planning on adding Oxygen this year- any preferred brands? The spa I worked at for years before starting my business used Echo2, and I liked it, but am open to suggestion.

Thanks in advance for any advice/thoughts on this matter..

I love my 2 Bio-therapeutic micro-current machines. Caci ain't better.
Be careful with the sales rep in the US, he is a dishonest crook, I mean Caci's rep.
I am quite interested as well. With Bio-therapeutic offering that very nice holiday promo proce for the V2, I am seriously looking at the differences with the hydrafacial. I have LED on another unit, and lymph work can be achieved so many other ways. 22K vs 4K though...I mean you get what you pay for right? Anyone try both?

As far as Oxygen, I use the Oxiana, and I do love it! Very easy, great results and my clients rave about it.

There is a great micro current group on LinkedIn, maybe that will give you some more direction for those offerings.. Recommended!

Hi Laurie, do you remember what you paid for the Oxiana? There website doesn't have much information.

BT is supposed to be launching a new, compact oxygen unit (their exsisting one is quite clunky) in January. I'm keeping an eye on my inbox for the announcement.

Thanks for the referral to the linkedin group- I'll check it out!

Well it was about 5 years ago, but if I recall it ran in the 5K range, but I did get it on a generous special at the time. With all the products and extra vitabrusher, it was $3,500. I would buy it again. Renate is the rep now, she's really accessible and very friendly. I have her cell, and she always gets back to me within 24 hours if not less.

Thanks! I'll check it out.

I'm looking to purchased a vitabrusher glass attachment .
Deborah
His name is Rob Insiger. he is a dishonest crap. I mean, Caci's rep.
I have the Caci Classic and I also have 2 Bio-Therapeutic machines. caci ain't better!

Yeah, I contacted him about the CACI and it took him over a month to get back to me. That left a bad taste in my mouth and they are pretty much off my list now.

What happened for you to have such a low opinion of him?

I have both the HydraFacial and the BT BioHydroderm. I love the results I get with both machines but I have to tell you the customer service with BT is FAR superior. The cost on the HydraFacial cannot be justified. Out the door my HF costed $38,000 while the BT was around $4000. My HF costed so much because I ordered an extra set of LED lights so I could work 2 areas at once. IT TOOK THEM OVER 4 YEARS TO SEND MY LIGHTS!!

I should have learned my lesson but at the Vegas show this year I again stepped out in faith and gave them a CASH order for $2400 in products. (Paid cash in full at the show) when weeks go by and no products show up I call Edge. Long story short the rep never turned in my order and to this day I have neither my money nor my products. When I call they treat me like I'm the villain. NEVER AGAIN! Not to mention that the "serums" you must buy for the HF are a bloody fortune!

All in all I'd go with BT
@Erin, do you feel you achieve the same or similar results from the BT? Would you consider the wet microdermabrasion the same or close to the HF? Are you impressed with the "infusion" results BT vs HF?

And the biggie: would you buy the BT again? HF I am assuming is a big NO! Sorry to hear you found a crook at the show:(
