esthetic equipment

I am needing advice on adding esthetic equipment to my spa. I have a microderm machine but am looking at other types of equipment. Just wondering what seems to most appealing to clients out there? I am on a limited budget....just wanting to get some feed back from all.

Also, does anyone know where I can get some diamond tips for my microderm machine? I do not like the ones I have and do not want to purchase from where I purchased my microderm machine.

One more question....what do you all think about the dermafiles?

It does get confusing out there! I love my Intraceuticals, but I do think it is on the high end and you can get less expensive machines. With Intracueticals you're really paying for their products/serums. I haven't played with the machines from other companies out there, so I can't really make any comparisons. You can read about Intraceuticals on my website. I don't rep for them, but I do really like the company.

I personally wouldn't make oxygen a first piece of equipment. You can spend less and get more WOW for your money with other types of machines/treatments.

Since that last post of mine, I've purchased a different oxygen infusion machine. I loved Intraceuticals but the cost per treatment was just outrageous. I'm now working with RejuvenAirO2. They have two models to choose from and you can use your own product or I have developed a pretty great infusion product called OxyPro. Here's the link to read about it:

It seems everyone has an oxygen treatment. How is intraceutical different and can you give me an idea what the cost is going to be. I am in the process of opening my new salon and am worried about going over board with my purchases when I am not sure what type of market I should anticipate.

I'm wondering if you could off some info on adding equipment on a budget. Something that will wow the clients and give a great result. Everyone is always looking to change the wrinkles and fine lines so I was thinking about ultrasound, micro currents. Something that can give a result after one use. I was also wanting something that could bring the clients back in on a bi weekly or monthly basis for sure. The currently have some enzymes, acids and high frequency.

Two inexpensive tools that give a really good treatment are the ultrasonic spatula and the dermafiles. I have a great before and after pic of a client that I did 6 weekly treatments just using those two tools! Use a good enzyme and hydrating mask along with it and you've got yourself a really nice treatment.

I'm working on a new toy using LED that will be in the $500 range...it's a secret right now! I will be posting info in July!

Everyone knows that i'm not a huge microcurrent fan but I do have a very inexpensive machine that I use for only 5 to 6 minutes at the end of a treatment. Clients like the way it feels and it gives a little last minute umph to the face. I'd be more than happy to share which machine this is...I have no connections with this company. The training that comes with it isn't great...what's new huh?!

Thank you for the great info. Do you know the difference between the ultrasonic skin scrubbers and ultrasonic spatula??? They vary from $199-$900???

Same thing...people call them by a different name. This is just my opinion here...I wouldn't spend a huge sum for a spatula/scrubber. They are a great tool and I think every Esthetician should have one, but there are other things to put your investment towards. I had a tabletop model years ago (given to me by a company because I had purchased so much stuff!) and I was not impressed. I actually prefer my little handheld unit! Maybe that means i just recevied a bum machine from this company!
