Esthetician getting my nail technician license

Hey everyone!

I'm going to start school this month to get my nail technician license. I currently rent a studio spa room inside a salon. My questions are:

Are there other estheticians/nail techs in this forum?

Is there a forum specifically for them?

Is there another website like skincareprofessionals that would have forums for nail techs?

Also, if there are other estheticians/nail techs reading this, how do you feel about your dual license? Do you perform more nail services or esthetic services? How are you balancing both licenses?

You should check out DailyNails.com

You will probably need to get a Cosmetology Establishment License to provide services in your sub-let space since it is legally separate from the salon. Check with your state board for specific requirements.

If the salon already has a nail services area, you will be getting into some very grey areas if you rent space from them but perform services outside of the rented area.
