Event Ideas Please!
So I just got back from the Vegas trade show. Although it seemed smaller and not as crowded, I still benefited greatly from it. I also got some inspiration. Before I was an Esthetician, I was a Makeup Artist and now I'm thinking that I want to add it to my business. To introduce it, I was going to plan an event. The main attraction would be Foundation Matching. So many women don't wear the right color and that is something I know I am good at doing. :) I also thought about having some other makeup available to sell and maybe offering some other skin service for a small fee (a 5 minute thing). These are all just ideas so far. Does anyone have any suggestions for something like this? I want to get as many people in as possible. I'm still building my business so I am hoping this will help not just inform people that I do makeup but also get them as new clients.

I would suggest having clients "book" foundation matching times for those 5 min time slots- this helps you predict a turn-out, and helps clients remember to show up!
Having lots of product available to buy is good, so you can have great sales that day too.
If they came to the event, they could book a one on one make-up lesson with you after the event as one of your services on special...only if they pre-book do they get the special discounted rate.
On a flyer promoting the event include that you'll do give-aways like makeup, services, etc. and that helps people show up. Or special prizes to each guest that brings a friend!

I need help on one other thing: A name for the event. Something catchy, something classy and nothing confusing.

As a professional makeup artist, I use and sell airbrush makeup. It's a great way to make money and so easy to use. I use it on my Good Morning America client as well as all my brides. You can always do a free foundation face because it takes 2 minutes and they always buy it!
