I am getting a lot of requests for both eyelash and eye brow tinting is this something we can offer? And if so does anybody have a suggested product to use?

I think it depends on the state you are in. In California, you cannot do anything with the eyes...no lash perming or tinting. I checked with State Board.
Intensive is the best though! :) And I believe one of the only ones covered by ASCP insurance.
Hope that helps.
intensive is the best
Thank you I will check with the state board in talking to some of the hair dressers they thought I would be able to but I will double check.
I use Intensive as well! They offer great shades and my clients are always pleased with the end result.
Jacque, What do you charge for your tints?
For anyone wondering I did just get confirmation that in Washington State it is legal for us to do tinting so I am adding this to my service list as no one around here is doing it. Hopefully this will help me get my business off the ground!
I have recently started offering lash and brow tint and I must say it seems to be an easy sell. I use berrywell and charge 25.oo for the lashes and 15 for the brows. Since buying the products/supplies I have done it on 3 clients within the month.
Lash and brow tints are very popular here in TX. I think Intensive is the best by far. I've found that clients are reassured by the fact that the line is vegetable based and made especially for the eye area.
It's also good to let them know the product is time sensitive, meaning the longer you leave it on, the darker result you get. For brows, people's biggest fear is coming out too dark and looking fake/harsh so just leave the tint on for a short amount of time (15-20 seconds or so) then remove & let them check out the color themselves, you can always go darker but you can't go lighter! Offer the first tint free, 9 times out of 10 they'll be hooked! Good Luck!
I live in Wisconsin. Does anyone know if tinting can be offered if you are NOT working under a physician or cosmetologist? Thanks for the help!
