So, I'm going to be moving to Arizona before the end of the year, and I'm trying to find someone to fill my position/hand over the pretty good sized clientele I've built up in my time here.  I can't find a single Esthetician who is interested.  Everyone is either too scared to make the leap to booth rental, or they do stuff out of their homes "rent free".

I've posted on Craigslist, contacted all of my local trustworthy estys, and even posted here in the appropriate group....Nothing.  The only people who have shown even a modicum of interest were people I would NEVER send my clients to!  I don't want to leave my clients hanging, nor do I want to send them to various places around town...

Where do you find people?  Would it be inappropriate for me to contact people who are currently employed elsewhere?  How do you even approach them?  I'm contemplating approaching the local school and getting one of their soon-to-graduate-estys and offering them an apprentice style situation until I leave.

Do the school route.  We did that when I left to stay at home with my kids.  It wasn't a good option when I returned but ifyou're not coming back, it might not be a bad idea.  She did very well.

Just contacted the school. They have 8 estys in training! Surprising, considering when I went it was only me, and no esthetics instructor (nothing like paying thousands of dollars to have a cosmetology instructor struggle to explain skin functions to you). I hope to get a few calls from that.
