I read about this little gadget in Day Spa Mag and it looks interesting. It's suppose to treat the superficial skin indications that live within the epidermis such as skin tags, age spots and sun spots.Treatments are performed in increments of 5 seconds for any given indication. This is to control the depth of freeze into the skin which lessens the likelihood of blistering among other things. Each standard CryoClear device is $390.00 which will give you about 30-50 treatments and that could mean 30-50 clients depending on how many indications you treat per client.Probably can't use it in California but I just might get one for myself. Has anyone tried it?
CryoClear™ freezes at – 79° C to a depth of no more than 2mm, delivering a very safe and clinically effective treatment. CryoClear™’s high efficacy – over 95% – combined with less destruction of healthy tissue makes it perfect for treating age spots, sun spots and skin tags.

I have been using CryoClear for several months and have had a lot of success with it. I've been tracking the progress with my clients and it's been amazing to see the results. Although each state has different regulations, it is a non-invasive procedure that can be used by licensed Estheticians in most states. Definitely a product worth trying, and the ROI is great too!
Have you used it for age spots? What is the process, and what does the client go through at home in the week to follow? Peeling? How many sessions to resolve dark spots?
Yes, I have used it for age spots, sun spots and skin tags. The client just needs to keep the area moisturized. I typically recommend a light exfoliation approximately a week after treatment. Most indications only need one treatment for resolution. Depending on the size of the spot or skin tag, you may need to adjust the treatment length slightly. The more you use the device the more comfortable you will get with determining the treatment. It is very simple to use. I've been extremely satisfied with it as have my clients!
Yes, the video on their Facebook page said between 5 and 10 seconds... I was curious about how you determine the duration of the freeze - so I guess it is all about size?
Also, there is no recharger or way to refill it after the 30-50 clients, you just buy a new one?
What about sanitation? Does any part of the device touch the client, or does it just spray out? Are there any disposables?
Thanks so much!
Lisa, What are you charging per treated area?
The duration of the treatment is based on the skin indication. For example, an age or sun spot would be approximately 10 second treatments (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off, and 5 seconds on), where as a skin tag would be a 5 second treatment.
Correct, there is no re-charge or re-fill, the unit is disposable. I use the treatment card they provide to keep track of how much I have used, and always have one or two on hand as back up.
There are no sanitation concerns as the device never touches the client.
Happy to help! I'm a big fan of this product. :)
Thanks for the feedback. I have been traveling and haven't been on SKP, so sorry in the late reply. I'm excited to try the CryoClear and glad to hear it's working for you. The rep said it was safe to use in Cali, but I'm not 100% convinced so I will be doing a little more research. I think I will just try one on myself for now. I have a few stubborn brown spots I could get rid of.
