HELP!! I need salary advice for new job @ plastic surgery office!!

Has anyone have experience of working in a plastic surgery practice? I am possibly going to work at a new office I interviewed with & trying to figure out the current going salary while we are negotiating. They want to offer me a hourly rate close to $20 + 10% commission for services (ins. & 401k benefits after 90 days...wish I was getting insurance at day 1). But, I think they don't want to do the commission right away..it sounds like they don't want to do that until after I get to sell a certain amount. I think I should get the commission right off the bat if I start selling!! Also, will be getting paid bonuses for referring patients to the physician for facelifts, Botox, etc. Don't think they want to pay commission for products, but I think they should- definitely makeup! They haven't had an aesthetician at this location yet so I have to put everything together, set up the room, get backbar/retail products, build up my client list, etc. They will be doing marketing for me & referring their current clients to me. They are buying everything that I need (with a budget). Please any advice or tips will help! Thanks!! :)

The average salary across the board for an Esthetician is between the mid 30's- mid 40's based on the research I have found. So it sounds like a pretty sweet deal they are offering you. ;)

All the best,

Valarie
