ooooh, everyone should get HF!!! If you don't have microcurrent or galvanic, HF is a great substitute. It works well for pigmentation and oxygenation. I always use it after exfoliation (whatever method you choose) and before a massage with ampoules. A Vit C facial with HF is a hit!!!

Monica, me again (tee hee) would you go into more details how HF is good for the skin in regards to using the ampoules does the HF create a deeper penetration of product?

Hi Rhonda

Honestly, I'm not sure how exactly it works.  I learned from a fellow aesthetician - and was very surprised to learn- that you can use compounds with HF.  She used it to go over masks, etc and she said the skin looks amazing after that.  So, I decided to give it a try and my gosh does it work!

So, I prep the skin (cleanse, exfoliate (whichever method you use), extractions if needed, etc), then I proceed with HF to disinfect (after extractions).  Then, I apply an ampoule (vit C, anything) and apply HF for a few minutes.  Then I massage with Oxygen Botanicals massage gel (ad verbatim from a client: "it feels so luxurious!!!") and then mask.   Just try it and let me know what results you get.  You can't go wrong :-) After more than 20 yrs in the business, I *just* learned this trick!! hehe

super excited to try this, so doing it myself tonight :)

Question, when you are using the high frequency over the ampoule, are you using a piece of gauze? Or are you going directly over the skin with the electrode?

No gauze. Directly over skin because ampoules will give glide

Thanks Monica!  I'm going to try it.

Hi Lin,
Rita Page has a Facial Equipment Techniques video that shows how to use high frequency if you would like to see how she does the procedure during a facial. http://www.videoshelf.com/video/dvd/F8D_Facial_Equipment_Techniques...
