How did you get started doing makeup?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone thinks it's worth it to take a class to hone my makeup skills. I am very comfortable doing my own makeup and experimenting, but not so much on other people and especially not brides. I rent space in a salon and have an opportunity to be part of the wedding package (hair and makeup) this upcoming summer.

Any advice welcome!

not a big fan of classes, honestly.  Makeup is one of those trades that is just literally practice, practice, practice.  On friends, family anyone you can find.  Doing it over and over and over.  And truthfully  for the "basics" of wedding makeup, or any makeup for that matter, sifting through youtube video tutorials will educate you just as much, if not more, than any class will.  Just my thoughts, hope this helps.

Completely agree! Also the more faces you can apply on the better.
