I am trying to make out my new menu. How many different facials do you offer? I feel like when a customer looks at a menu and they see 20 different options they get overwelmed.
How many different facials do you offer?

Hello Amenda :)
It all depends on how many lines, Esthetic tools or machines you have at your practice.
You many also want to offer the basic European and do a couple of add-on as an option ($). Try to search online for colleagues websites and take an idea in your area what is offered. Good luck!
My personal pet peeve is seeing the menu being used as ad space for a product line. Your menu should advertise YOU and the things that make your services special... extended skin analysis, customized exfoliation treatment, targeted corrective mask. You're in this career for the long haul a which means you can and likely will change lines as new science emerges. Worst is when a product company goes mass market and a bunch of estheticians are stuck with loads pf product they can't sell. Don't compound the problem by having your services tied to a line and client'side understanding of the efficacy of your treatments tied ONLY to that certain brand.
That said, the smartest way to offer any service is by offering 3 versons, and having the middle version be the one you'd be most happy to do all day long, in terms of process and price. From there, you have a lower, more economised version and a deluxe higher priced version, but the middle one will be the top seller. Also, when you have that service that you love doing that gets the maximum results, don't hesitate to describe it as being your most popular service, even if it's new to your menu. It's the most popular in YOUR mind and that's what makes it a big seller.
I basically offer 3 facials, 1 for teens, a customized European and a deluxe facial. I offer extras as ad-ons i.e. jade stone eye treatments, peels, etc. and it allows me the opportunity to offer "limited time only" seasonal specials.
Thanks everybody!! I am still trying to put my menu together. All responses are very helpful!
Thanks for all the help everybody.
