Hello everyone, I posted this question before but I'm hoping by posting again to find someone who has some insight on the topic. I am considering a wet/dry micro machine but not sure it's worth the investment. Can anyone comment on the efficiency of such a machine, opposed to a regular microdermabrasion machine? Any help would be appreciated!

I purchased the very expensive big name machine years ago for $16,000. It was nice but for that investment it needs to be much more than nice! I liked the technology but not the price.

ImageDerm just came out with a similar model for $5995. I think that is worth it. There's a pic of it on my website.
Thanks for the input Shelley but the model I am considering is much lower in price then that. That's out of my budget as a sole proprietor. I'm looking at BT's model

I am trying to get insight on this too! I had a Hydrafacial done earlier this month to experience it first hand. We have a rep coming to visit and do a demo for our office next Monday. BUT reps are salesmen, and they can be pushy. Everyone has the best and greatest product and the only way to know for sure what your really getting into is to experience it yourself. Hence why I got the Hydrafacial. When I got my Hyrdafacial the Esthi told me of another machine she loved even more which was from Bio Therapeutics. The application is different but the effect is supposed to be the same. Price point, hyrdafacials machine ranges from $5,000-$35,000 but she said that the $5,000 wasn't worth it and you would end up spending about $20,000. The BT one is about $4,000. So my next venture after meeting with the rep is to try a BT facial and to talk about the machine with the esthi about it. I think that its the best way to decide, get a facial done, talk about the machine and see how much you truly want it in your practice!

Thanks for the input... That's the unit I am looking into. But no one in my area has the BT trinity (I believe that's what bio therapeutic call their wet dry). If you get a micro treatment in your area, please let me know how it goes, as I cannot do so. Thanks!

I will! The closest one to me as well is 2 1/2 hours away so it will definitely be a planned trip!

Did you feel you got a decent enough exfoliation with the wet micro, compared to the traditional method? There's no doubt that the bt unit looks impressive in person, but I'm wondering if a wet application does the job well enough to warrant the investment. How was your skin after the facial with the other company's machine?

I was AMAZED at how well it cleaned my skin!!! I am usually very thorough with cleaning my skin and when I had gotten it done I was in California visiting family. During that time we had taken family pictures twice and to be picture perfect, I had tons of makeup on. Even with cleaning my face and it being 3 days after, it got soooo much out! In the container that held the dirty fluids you could literally see the blackheads floating around and the leftover makeup that had been in my pores. INSANELY cool. It was a rather quick treatment so people don't get it for the relaxing spa treatment- but cleaning wise- I don't think I've ever had a cleaner face! The next few days my skin glowed more than it ever has with regular microderm. The exfoliation was great, and it did not feel as rough as traditional, it was actually a nice cooling sensation!

Thanks for sharing your experience. It really helps!

Your welcome!!

You have to fight to get your training from BT. I bought a nano used it twice and after talking to David and Sally it was clear I was never going to get any instruction on how to use it which is why I am putting it up for sale. The machine is only as good as the training you get which in my experience is none.
I usually do the webinars when they offer them which has helped drastically with the nano, but I agree... They aren't really available to train you on the equipment.

Dermaradiance by Satin Smooth it is very inexpensive.  Dual use of Pure Flower Micrograins and a diamond tip wand to help you achieve superior results while strengthening the integrity of the skin. It is an Organic Solution for Microdermabrasion....They will be at the Long Beach show and the New York show in March as well as the Orlando show.

Hope this helps!
