I recently applied for an instructor license in my state (Idaho). I applied based on experience working as well as submitted my transcripts from college in lieu of taking the examination. The college credits are up for consideration by the board which isn't supposed to convene to meet until February. I want to prepare for the examination anyway and I've been looking at Milady's Master Educator course books. Because they're not specifically designed for esthetics, I wonder if there's going to be an issue with getting the appropriate training for the exam. The exam is administered by DLRooper.

Has anyone had experience with this and some suggestions for me?

Thank you!

I haven't had this experience, but while awaiting my state board exam (which was 3 months after I finished school) I used the Milady online review for Esthetics. Was priceless to me. I took a different practice test each time and ended up with a 91 : ) I truly think all the reviewing I did was key and if I remember right, it was only like $50 maybe...Good Luck!

Please let us know what happens with this!  I have been looking into becoming instructor certified myself, I have three college degrees, and they don't offer instructor certification anywhere local to me.  If you are allowed, this would set a precedent that I could possibly use to apply for certification in my state as well!
