Hello! I'm new here and would love if someone could answer some questions for me.

I currently work as an RN and have considered going back to school to get my Esty certificate. I would eventually like to work in a dermatologist/plastic surgeon's office. I have seen some courses offered for medical professionals (including RNs) in sclerotherapy, microdermabrasion, Botox and fillers and they don't specify that the RN needs a backround in esthetics. I know that I would rather go to school and learn skin care, for my own peace of mind, but is it necessary?

Thanks!

We have an RN at our Spa, she doesn't have an Esthetician license. She does Botox, fillers etc., she doesn't do facials, waxing or body treatments.
