OK, I admit it, I'm over stimulated and can't focus. I want to be the very best Aesthetician and need to keep up-to-date on the latest products, services and equipment and keep all the tried and true products, services and equipment. All this and not being completely in charge of the financial part of business means I have the added stress of talking my boss into anything new.
Lines I carry are Bioelements (really not sure I want to keep due to it being so easily purchased on the internet) and SkinScript for peels and acne products.
Equipment are the steamer, maglite, dermafiles, high frequency, sams light, massage bed with heating pad. Very basic stuff!
I offer most services except wraps (no space) and brazillians.
As you can see, I am very limited... I am wondering what you all think would be a great next addition. Skin Spatula? LED? Teeth Whitening? New product line? Of course, I need to worry about prices to purchase anything.
I want to keep my clients, and me, excited and I want to add new ones with other treatments.
Thanks, in advance, for all of your help!

From the info you've given, here's what I would suggest: I've never used Bioelements so I can't respond to that but Skin Scripts is awesome. There is so much you can do with their products. Add a Spatula and a set of Dermafiles (if you don't have microdermabrasion) and you can really do a lot. Neither of those is very expensive and don't take up any room. Clients will love that you are using new tools on them! I've been offering teeth whitening for over 3 years and have made some great money. I offer it as an add-on during their facial for $50. It can be done while they have their mask on (you just have to extend the time to about 20 minutes). It's during this time of year that I do the most treatments. They want to look fresh for their holiday partys. It's not a big expense for us to do the teeth whitening.
Let me know if I can help you in any way.....Shelley
Thank You, Shelley! I do have the dermafiles so a spatula would be next. That was the way I was thinking to go. It's nice to hear you say it. Teeth Whitening would be my next guess. I am part of a tanning salon...(which, i find, can be both good and bad for my business) and tanners look more tan with white teeth so that could be an income generator, along with the holidays....
Thank You again :)
I agree with Shelley. SkinScript is a great line for both backbar and home care. They have a nice variety of results oriented treatment products that keep clients coming back and esthy's from getting bored with the same treatments over and over. The dermafile is a great addition and is part of their protocol. Their price point is good so I rarely find clients who cannot afford to purchase 4-5 products for home care.
One thing that's important is that you don't have to do everything. Find your niche and specialize. That being said if you want to add teeth whitening go for it. It sounds like you are in the right place to do well with it.
It's hard to argue with die hard tanners so I ask them to think about switching to spray tanning instead of beds and to not tan their face and neck and use a self tanning lotion there instead.
Hope this helps,
Rikki
