Hi Katharina,

The only way to know for certain is to contact your State Board for determination if this is within your scope of practice for your esthetics license. I know that can be frustrating in some states. I hope Florida is not one of them! But that is the only way to know for sure.

You can access all state board contact info on the ASCP website at http://www.ascpskincare.com/content/become/RegCard.pdf. If you can't get a definite answer, you might want to err on the side of caution. The problem is that if you do use the equipment and were to injure a client, if they report you to the state board and the Board determines this treatment doesn't fall under your scope of practice, the Board might revoke your license. And, if it's reported to your insurance company and they determine you weren't "legally" operating, they may not cover the claim. So, it's really taking a chance if you can't get something in writing from the Board. Good luck, and I hope you keep us all posted!

Thank you ! I will work on that .... :-)

And I will let you know if I find out something

I appreciate that!
