Hey all you California Esthies,  Do you know if we can use a Lamprobe?  I know it's a class one device and it's non-invasive.  I have tried calling the BBC but you can't get a live person to ask a question to.  Thanks.

Anyone?   Hellooooooooo?  :)

From my experience with California...they don't allow Estheticians to use anything that pierces the skin, removes the skin as in hyperpigmentation or spider veins etc (unless it is a gentle manual exfoliation) like a scrub...They don't allow licensed nail techs to use anything metal that removes the skin either (like calluses etc)...so in answer to your question "probably not"  they don't let us do a lot really!  ;) i reckon it will be allowed if you worked as an Esthy under a dermatologist????

I know CA sucks.  I'm hoping since it's non-invasive and works on the surface of the skin that they would. I know there are esthy's that use them, but I don't want to unless I know it will be covered by insurance.  I'm just chicken like that.

CA sucks for sure.
