I used Refectocil for years.... in California we are not allowed to do this service any more.... such a shame... its a great service......
I used Reflectocil. It worked great on brows and lashes. Until I found out that it is not Legal for Estheticians to use it in California. Deep down kind of glad I stopped due to the risk of major eye problems if it gets into the eye, since peroxide is used as the developer.
I have used Intensives, Reflectocil, Pialon which is now Combinol of them all I like Combinol and Reflectocil best. Intensives doesn't last very long at all compared to any of the others. Reflectocil stings more on most of my clients for the eyes. Combinol has the results and less irritation. I do use Reflectocil for BT there 3.1 brown is the best for blondes like myself. Hope this is helpful.
I use Recetocil and Intensive...like them both. Since we are on this topic have any of you been fined by State Board for doing lash/brow tinting? Here in CA we as Estheticians aren't legally allowed to perform this service. The fine is pretty hefty at $1000.00....
Wow Bill I hadn't heard what the fine was. Hearing this news I'm glad I discontinued offering lash tinting due to the new law. So now I sell more mascara it's all good! Yet, Since this chat is open to Esty's all over the country I still wanted to offer my knowledge and experience.
we aren't doing it because of the fine and that if caught, it could cost us a mark against our license as well. Only Cosmos are doing this service now. It's not worth it, because God forbid someone complains that you burned their eyes with a product you aren't supposed to be using, inevitably it's your license should they complain to State Board. Even if you didn't cause harm, people can and do some strange things.
