I want to learn how to do brazilian on males. I have watched videos, but I would like to learn hands-on. I'd prefer an instructor guiding me.

Hey Linda,

I am a waxing instructor, where do you live?

Washington State. It seems everything is in California.

I would also suggest asking your distributor  where you purchase your wax if they offer any training or know of an instructor that is in your area.

I would also check our industry magazines because they are sections that show upcoming classes, seminars etc.  You might also consider traveling for some classes that seem to be of interest.

Hi Linda,
I'm located in Vancouver Washington and offer private 1 on 1
Training for both Male and Female Brazilian waxing. PM me if you're interested. I have reviews on my website from previous students as well. Will you be coming to the waxing extravaganza in Portland June 9th?

Hi Amber,

I sent you a friend request. Can't PM till then. I am interested and I am considering going to the waxing extravaganza in Portland June 9, but haven't completely decided yet.

I am interested. Are you still located in Vancouver? I am a bit farther north but for a private training it would be worth it

Julie, yes I'm still
Located in Vancouver Wa and actually just held a 1on1 Brazilian Class for an esty that came from Eastern Oregon. I do classes on Saturdays or Sundays and 1on1 only as that's the only way you will get a real grasp for it. I like to have my students perform at least 3 waxes sometimes 4 if I can wrangle 5 models total. It's an all day thing and I do have references from previous students.
Feel free to message me and I will send over my info

Linda,

First I applaud you on bettering yourself and looking for advanced education in a service that many people underestimate. I would recommend not just looking at the classic training, but also doing research in to new methods/modalities that are becoming more prevalent in the industry.

Orrin, are you referring to laser or what? I'm not following you?

While laser and other methods are in their own category, waxing has a gentler and more productive relative. Sugaring. It's the emerging go-to for hair removal all over the country. In fact, the newest edition of Milady esthetics has a photo of body sugaring on the cover of their hair removal chapter. I learned it in school, took advanced education on it after getting my license, and have had great success doing L.A. Bikinis (brazilian equivalent) on men and women, with much much less irritation and pain as compared to waxing. Particularly with men, these areas can be difficult to wax without complication, even using perfect technique, fact is the skin on our clients is just getting too sensitive for conventional methods.

I've been doing sugaring since 2009 and can vouch for the fact that it's FAR less irritating, with less skin irritation and chance of ingrowns.

If anyone does Brazilian classes in the Midwest, specifically the Indiana/Michigan stateline area, please let me know!  I've been entirely self-taught for brazilians, and I wouldn't mind some professional tips!

Orrin,

I took a one on one class learning male brazilians with hard wax. I have done many now which is wonderful. I also do sugaring with Sugar of the Nile, however, I just did my first male brazilian with sugar and it was a disaster. I have to do another one in 2 days and I'm worried about it. My distributor at Sugar of the Nile has not been much help. She says she has not done a male brazilian before. To complicate things, the client has a big belly that I need him to pull taught. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
