HI Everyone,
Looks like the legislative process is heating up for everyone in our industry. Here is a link provided by PBA, as of Friday it looked like their were over 200 pending or proposed bills that would effect cosmetology. What I found interesting and of direct impact to estheticians was some of the bills by the medical boards regarding aesthetic medical services. Please check this out, we all need to try to be vigilant on this. PBA & NCEA are both good resources for information about protecting our scope of practice.

Thanks for this resource - it is incredibly helpful! I noticed that there is nothing listed for NC (I have just moved to NC). Is that an oversight or is there nothing going on in the legislature in NC in regards to Cosmetology/Esthetics?

It does not look like NC is got anything going on. I really need to check the list at least once a week. If you hear of anything let me know and i will pass it on to the NCEA.
