I would like to work under a more experienced esthetician. I've had a room for a little bit, but I want more education. I always take classes but I want a one on one. I feel education is very important!

Are there salons, spas or other skin care business that have this?  How would I go about finding this? Thanks for your help!

Hey Lindsey.  I run Premier Beauty Solutions and we help mentor girls in the industry.  I am also an educator on salon etiquette, resume writing and waxing.  We also offer Salon Feng Shui for your location if you feel the energy is just not there.  If you feel you might need some help or just somebody to talk with contact me and we will see what we can do together and how I can help you.

claire@twigsandberriesbook.com or claire@premierbeautysolutions.com.

I am also in California and spend a lot of time teaching in L.A.

I appreciate the reply.  I looked at your site, it great.  I saw you were going to be at The Wax Show.  I live in Glendale so that’s great you give classes in LA. I’d like some hands on wax classes.   Do have classes where we practice on models?

I do private tuition.  So yes absolutely you will be working on real people with one on one instruction.   You provide the models.  Maybe you have some clients or friends that are willing to have a free service so you can practice.  I bring the supplies, myself, a big smile and we have fun but with a professional approach!

Great I'll think about it!

Make sure you visit http://www.twigsandberriesbook.com for the contact form, for if and when you are ready.   I don't always check Skin Care Professionals for messages, so to make sure I can give you the best response, my website is the best approach.

I found this type of situation by sending out resumes to places that already have established skin care set up, with experienced estheticians in place.  I got a job in one such place,  that uses Dermalogica and the education at IDI has been a Godsend.  Also, the estheticians I work with are great at sharing knowledge and training and we all mentor each other on things we specialize in.  You just have to find the right owner, someone who is committed to educating and training employees to be the best they can be.
