Looking for Salon Software for Estheticians and can be used on ipad
There are so many software programs out there and seem to be more related to hair salons. I am looking for something that has an appt. book, can email and txt client appt reminders and promos, keeps client records and can provide business reports. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Kellie,
I've been using Get Rosy for about 2 years, and it works very well for me. It may be a little bit slanted towards hair salons, but it is very easily customized to what you need and the customer service is awsome. No software involved - it is all online with a monthly usage fee.

Mindbody Online is awesome. They have a great set up program and ongoing tech support. They have reports on every last little detail of your business and make it really easy to keep organized. They also have online booking that can integrate into your sysytem and website. It's geared towards the spa industry as well.

I use Salon Transcripts (STX). It is for Mac only and great customer service, training and tech support. I have all of the features you mentioned as well as having the app on the iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone. There are many great features and it is "overkill" for a solo Esty, but if you are envisioning future growth it is a very good investment.

I tried MindBody and was disappointed with the service. I switched to Genbook and have had a much better experience with them. I use an iPad at my spa and sometimes it's a little frustrating that if it idles too long it will kick you out and you need to log back in, but other then that I have no complaints. ASCP members get a discount and it is a lot cheaper then MindBody and there is no limit on how many schedule/technicians you put on it. It emails confirmations, email reminders and emails after the appointment is completed.

Styleseat.com It is so easy and geared to the beauty industry. It's free and I love it! Clients can book online and reminders will automatically get sent to them by email or text. They have a "Business" section too that gives you all your stats. It's pretty awesome! :)

I use SpaBooker by Gramercy One. They offer online booking, optional merchant processing, email reminders, product inventory, marketing, etc all at a very reasonable price! Their software is geared towards spa's.

Kellie - I am in the same boat. I am currently testing Vagaro. I like everything so far. It just doesn't have any client consultation information other than a text box where you can put notes. I don't want to type all the information in paraghraph form. What I can't seem to find is one with client consultation information. Does anyone know of a software for pc/iPad that also has a thorough client consultation? I don't want to continue using paper forms and cards, they just get lost and it's to cumbersome.
