Hello everyone! I am trying to figure out what machines are a "must have" for a very basic start-up business.

Apart from the obvious equipment (steamer, towel cabby, mag lamp) I am also getting a Clarisonic Pro, and I am toying with a vacuum machine and a high frequency machine. I am also considering the BT Micro Ionic Peel handheld device.

Do those seem like the right tools to get started with?

I'm not interested in microdermabrasion, and I can't afford light therapies (I don't think...)

I'd appreciate any input! thank you!

Hi Gina,

First of all it's going to depend on your budget and what type of treatments you want to offer. Have you had a chance to browse through my website. I have been in the business for 23 years now and pretty much tried it all. I have success stories and videos on my website about different pieces of equipment. Watch the video on my home page, it goes over all of the equipment that I use:  http://www.shelleyhancock.com/skincareprofessionals.html

Please feel free to call me if you'd like to chat about any equipment.....not just things on my site. I really enjoy helping my fellow Esty's become and stay succesful!

@Shelley,

Do you sell any small Microcurrent machines that I can just put on my cart for lower prices like in the range of $400? I know most of the wonderful machines cost a thousand dollars and up and I just can't afford it either. I'm still trying to build my business as well! It looks like the  lowest price you have available is The Rejuvenator, microcurrent/led machine for $995? I already tried the BT Micro tool a year ago and it didn't impress me that much use it as an anti-aging treatment.

It's pretty tough to get anything of quality down in the $400 range. I'd rather see you you save a little $$ before investing your $400 in something that is just not that good. I'll get in touch with the fella I get equipment from and see what I can come up with. It's tough in the beginning when funds are low, but you don't really want to spend what you do have and be sorry that you did!
