Making Facial Beds Comfy

Hey everyone, I'm going to be starting at a new salon next month as a first-time booth renter. The salon has a facial bed for me to use, and I don't have the money to buy a new one. Does anyone have any tips on making a very generic facial bed very comfy? And very low budget.  Thanks =]

The place I work have a cheapo bed that they dressed with a heating pad and lots of fluffy bed sheets, pads, and comforter from Ikea. It's VERY comfy!!

I have a deluxe padded Oak Works portable massage table (MT 13 yrs-esty 1)-but I like more and added an egg crate, heated mattress pad and I have a plain mattress pad on top so I don't have to wash the padded one very often. People love the comfort of padding and the comfort of heat. Rarely, someone will ask me to turn it off. I leave it on 24/7 so it's warm for the first client. The egg crate alone would work well, only it gets linty stuff in the crevices and the sheets kind of stick when changing. I've had them a really long time-so maybe $100-125 for the three items. I've been on some really uncomfortable tables, and 50 or more minutes is a long time. Bolsters for under knees help to releive pressure also. My old bony butt used to get numb on the school facial beds!

You might try "free cycle" if it's in your area-someone just might 1 or more items not being used. A heated blanket works as well under the sheets, I used one for 2-3 years. Check with your friends, too.  If not, Walmart is likely the least expensive and was doing free ship'g last month.

Heated fleece type pad and a really nice feather comforter type thing or memory foam will work great.  My bed is hard as a rock and now people are like...aaahhhh.  Also, I choose to use the Tshirt sheets, then have a nice super soft blanket for one top.  If you get a feather comnforter type thing for underneath, make sure its somewhat firm or is has the squares sewn to keep the feathers in place bc they will mash down after a while.

Definitely a heated table pad and I use a memory foam pad with a pillow underneath the knees to help their back and another under their upper back / head.Mine is on a portable massage bed and I always get told he comfortable the bed is. Good luck!!

Thanks for all the tips! I've found some stuff on Amazon I'm interested in, it seems like it has the best prices, unless a friend pops up with something.
