The first time will feel the most ackward and then it gets easier! Be light about it....go in with a big smile and introduce yourself. "Hi I'm your new neighbor and I just wanted to introduce myself". You'll find most people are receptive when approached in a light, happy manner. If you go in nervous and serious, they'll feel it and probably think you're selling something (which you ultimatley are...you're selling yourself!) and be closed to truly meeting you. Remind yourself that you are someone worth knowing and that you have a skill that everyone should experience! Much success to you!

Thank you Shelley!

:)

Make sure you look them in the eyes, extend your hand (for a handshake) and smile.  It's amazing how much respect you will receive when you do these few things!  Take several business cards to leave behind.  And when you leave, duck around a corner and write their names down (I'm bad with names), send a personal, handwritten note simply stating... It was a pleasure you took a few minutes of your day to meet me.  I look forward to the next time our paths cross.
Good luck and have fun!
