Hello! I started a home business about 13 years ago and have slowly built up to a downtown office. Here are some things I suggest: attend local chamber of commerce events for you area and local networking events. Donate $50 gift cards to schools for local silent auction events and fundraisers. Ask the event organizers to display your business cards and handouts. Better yet, see if you can give free skin consultations on site.  If you have a child in school, scope out hard working PTA moms. They usually are stay at home moms who have time to volunteer and know a lot of women. I used to give away several facials a month, it did not take long to build a thriving practice of regulars. Women talk! Everywhere you go leave business cards and web info. Also find local salons that do not offer facials. Try to team up salon owners. They have steady clientele, offer the owner free treatments in exchange for referrals.  I also started out by giving incentives for bringing friends. I have several more ideas if you would like more, let me know. :)
I totally agree with Holly especially when it comes to local salon owners, hair dressers can be a great way to build new clients. If they don't have a good esthetician to refer to, your missing the boat. Introducing yourself and giving one free treatment to a hairdresser can bring you tons of new clients. I would start there!
Thank you ladies!  Holly Great ideas I will give them a try.   Thank you for the encouragement :) I will let you know how  it works out.
