I have to agree with Mary. We spent alot of time in school trying to gain knowledge and experience that we can then despense to our clients in a professional manner that sets us apart from those without such training and then we want to offer products that reflect that expertise. Can you imagine going to the Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon and having them sell us products that we can get from "Aunt Betsy" on any corner. Choose a line that reflects the direction you want to take your business and still meets the needs of your clients.

I went to a new hair stylist on Saturday. This gentleman is a master colorist, and I needed a little color correction done. I am satisfied with my color, however, I was REALLY turned off that I paid top dollar for a stylist who used Tresseme on my hair. My first thought was "Oh NO he di'ent!" Oh yes, he did. It just brought DOWN my estimation of him as a stylist...
Something to think about.

Back in the day before I was licensed I used and sold Mary Kay, part of my reason for getting into skin care professionally. However, as a licensed professional, I would never even consider Mary Kay products or any other skin care product that was not professional for my business. That is not the direction I want to take my professional skin care practice. We have so many professional lines to choose from that provide the type of results I want and see my clients experience. I would think that if I went to have a professional service and paid the money to do so and they used products my neighbor was selling that I had been cheated some how.
UH no....
yuck, yuck, yuck...you mean with your license and all the options open to you , all you have to offer your clients is what your bored-housewife-need-money-for-a-new-fridge can sell ? By the way, the profit is also pitiful...I have cleaned so many skins from the MK products, I feel like I need to send the company a thank you card for the "referrals". My advice is go to a trade show or even on line and do your homework. Good luck,
best,
Cora
