I am wanting to display about three masks in glass jars on my counter that clients can choose from for me to make up for their mask during their facial . I saw this in a spa and it was super cute. I need some direction as to where I can find this type of "mask" ingredients that will give results and yet smell great, look great on my counter. The ones that I saw were dry, and needed a liquid to be added to become "active."  Any ideas??

If you have any up coming shows in your area they usually have places that sell powdered masks but I will say the ones that I bought don't smell very good, very perfume like.  I just did a search on powdered masks.

CBI labs has a powder papaya enzyme mask, again doesn't smell very well but works great under steam.

Good luck, what a cute idea!!

Hello Kristen,

You can find professional grade powdered masks in large bulk containers that would allow you to transfer some to more pretty 'apothocary' looking containers. What are your thoughts on how a client would 'choose' their own mask? The masks would have to be pretty generic so that they'd be a 'one size fits all' which means that they aren't necessarily going to be all that 'effective'. Just something to consider. Another thought may be- you choose the mask for them, but they choose a complimentary aromatherapy treatment with essential oils. You might just select a couple of nice blends that would be appropriate for their skin type, and let them choose the one they prefer? That way they still feel like they have some input into the service, but you have the control you need to provide them with the results that they are seeking :)

I just looked at thw Bella Lucce site, and oh my goodness the flavors look devine. That is exactly what I had in mind, thank you Ally.

Kirsten, the masks will definitely not be as effective as if I chose something from my back bar, but was wanting to add a little "spa" experience to my esty room. The masks would be either hydrating, detoxifying, or maybe a light enzyme. This way they get to choose and there is also an end result. I do like the idea of essential oils too, I do use them now, but only in my towels and massage cream. Occasionally I will ask my client what scent they want and they do like to have the option.

Thank you ladies for your help, I am just looking for some fun new ideas for summer! : )

Bella Lucce has right now for the month of May no min. for wholesale acct.

Can be a plastersizing mask but make sure air tight containers... I'm still looking for the brand name I hope that helped

You could use some natural clays with added essential oil blends for various skin conditions. It would be aromatic when they opened it and you only would need to add a liquid of choice (such as a hydrosol, water, aloe vera gel etc. ) to "activate" and apply.
