Just wondering if anyone has had any experience working for a Dermatologist/Plastic surgeon, very curious to what the pay scale is and if benefits were offered.

The only drawback with working with doctors is that you don't get tips. I work at a medical spa and we accept tips. I think that's a middle ground! ;)

I worked for a Plastic Surgeon for 8 years and was paid an hourly wage with full benefits. Our doc started us out anywhere between $13 to $15 an hour based on experience. On top of your hourly wage you will usually get commission or bonus pay as well. We were able to receive tips at our location but I do know a lot of medical offices don't allow that. Hope this is helpful

The experience of working with a Dermatologist (4 years) was much more for the experience than the pay scale. To start, pay was 10/hr.  $12/hr. end pay (this was 16 years ago), paid bonus, and 10% commission on his product line.  No benefits were offered and no gratuity was to be accepted in a Medical Facility.  Honestly, glad to have had the experience learned so much more than I did in Esthetics School.  Best of luck to you :)
