I have been using the BioT Gold for nearly 10 years. I purchased from BioT because they have a high standing reputation and I wanted to work with a company I could trust. I'd like to hear what others have to say before I share my experience; the reason being that I rarely use it as it was intended-- (a 50min treatment, 2 times a week for 6 weeks).
I love the FSD. By contrast to Cathy's experience, I get a lot of results out of that machine and it has been one of my best experiences.
I do also use microcurrent, but after having tried several different machines including a used BT Gold (which was a hassle with wires and batteries and stuff), I settled on using a handheld for this part of the treatment. I just don't see enough results with it (although I am interested in going to an esthetician who really does a lot of it to see what the possibilities are - I am not ruling it out for the future).
There's a class this Monday coming up on ASCP. I've been using it as an energizing facial. I typically use the "Turbo-Lift". I'm going to use myself as a model once and for all! :-)
Neat, I have never taken one of their webinars... how do you do it?
I've had the FSD Radiancy coming up 3 months. My clients love it. I had one lady who was concerned with a large, very dark patch on top of her cheekbone. Has tried everything. We did a series of 8, 1 every 4 days, on highest setting. (Thanks to Shelley Hancocks suggestion of using ice pack to cool skin prior to applying the FSD we were able to get a full 10 zaps each time with no discomfort). The dark patch has almost disappeared. And it was DARK! We also did 2 dermafiles during the series of 8 and always an enzyme treatment. I think with another 2 treatments it will be completely gone. I've used on myself and love the results. Even skin tone, skin seems more plump and resilient. I'm 54 years young. Everyone has been commenting on how my skin is glowing. I don't have a new boyfriend so.. I'm gonna go with the FSD treatments. :-)
This sounds like quite the protocol! Does the client keep the ice pack moving ahead of where you are zapping? Does condensation drip everywhere? Does Shelley have a video of this technique? I'd love to start using it!
I use an ice bag that you would use on yourself for injuries or aches. Fill with ice cubes and make sure all air is squeezed out before screwing lid on. I keep a clean dry towel close by and every now and then just rest the bag on it to keep dry. No dripping, no condensation. The FSD takes a few seconds between zaps to recharge. I hold ice bag on area to be treated. Client will tell me when it feels cold enough. Some clients like to hold the ice bag themselves. Without it I was only able to get to 5 or 6 zaps before becoming painful. Now you barely feel it. Its sounds quite the procedure but it's actually very simple. Double cleanse, second cleanse using ultrasonic spatula. Dermafile or enzymes for 5 mins (and again remove with spatula and rinse well to remove all residue). FSD treatment then finish with mask/serum/spf. I don't always mask. I'll penetrate serum with spatula, apply SPF and ... done! :-) Takes 30 - 40 mins total.
