Need Help: What POS do you use for retail product website sales? Paypal?

Hello,

I am thinking of offering a variety of my retail products to purchase on my website.

I'm not sure as to how to proceed though... For those that offer this service, do you use PayPal or another more ideal service?

Thanks in advance!

Kyong,

What you might want to do is try Shopify or Magento.  Plug and play.

I program my own stuff as far as web sites and related IT but when it comes to shopping carts you have a lot going on so I refer out to a person I use for higher end programming.

Shopify and Magento offer plug and play, VERY easy, solutions and all you have to do is pay a small monthly fee and upload pictures.  Ease of use is preferred over custom look and feel but most of the time it is pretty good for what you are getting.

If you need detailed help with IT and your site, post away.  I bought my first domain name in 1994 and have co-founded a few sites and have been programming for about 6 or so years.

Thank for the feedback and offer, Marty. I'll check them out!

I use paypal and have for many years. Easy and safe.

Thanks for your first-hand feedback of Paypal!

Also, remember you can use PayPal with a variety of shopping cart services.  PayPal is just a payment gateway (and a very good one), but if you want your site to look nice, I'd recommend what Marty said and use a plug-and-play style ecommerce site (with PayPal as your chosen payment gateway).

That's what I do and very easy. :)

Thanks, I will check them out!
