I am the esthetician thats only been licensed for a little over a year working at a new salon and spa and I need some ideas on how to build my clientele here. We've only been open 3 months and the rest of the salon is doing pretty decent for the time we've been open, but my end of the business has been pretty slow for the exception of some pretty busy weeks so far. We have already had 2 specials go out that included facials but most of the people that signed up for it have already come in, they were all satisified and raved to my boss and co-workers how awesome the facial was, but so far no one has rescheduled. I was thinking about doing seasonal facials with catchy names to peak peoples interest, and also a loyalty and referal program. What are some things that have worked well for you in the past and now that has gained you repeat clientele? Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help! :)

Jalea, my booking system generates this type of lifecycle messaging/marketing. It follows up with a customer service survey and knows a little bit about what the client likes, products they purchase so the messages are personalized...but NOTHING compares to a handwritten card. A nice touch worth the investment in time and money. I always thought it would be nice to get product samples (packets) and include them in such a card.
The booking system you use sounds really good what system is it?
Hi Summer. It's Spa Booker from Gramercy one. They are a little pricy. I'm not happy about that. But at the moment they do offer lots of little things that help. You can try them for free at go booker. You have to pay $25 a month to get the Mailchimp integration (the email marketing solution to talk to the booking software. My only complaint is the price. I wish they would let us pay for the features we need rather then having to jump into higher price packages! If you need any help with it let me know Summer, happy to help.
