I have the PCA Sensi peel and I haven't used it in a while.  i went to use it last week and it was very fizzy almost carbonated.  is that normal?  The peel isn't bad and hasn't been in the heat or anything like that.  Has this happened to any of you? Do you think it is still effective or safe to use?

I use only PCA and even when I open a new bottle that's the sound it makes. They say to turn it upside down. Not necessarily shake it..to mix the product and I think that might be what does it. I never thought anything was wrong with the product because all the peels do that. Except the ultra peel 2 and esthitique I guess maybe a phone call wouldn't be bad since their customer service is excellent!

Ok, well that is the only one I use aside from the detox and it had been awhile so if you experience the same thing then it is probably fine.  just took me off guard :).  I thought, ugh I hope this is ok.  Thanks Nikki!

I love PCA peels!! You need to "mix" them just prior to use, but do this very carefully. Gently rotate, but don't shake as you might get an explosion of product. Not good!
I bet your SensiPeel is just fine. No worries!

I think I did turn it and probably did too much.  Thanks so much ladies!!  I did a micro and 2 layers of tca after.  Do you mix micro with the peels?  If so, do you do it before or after and how many layers will you go?

I don't not combine the two, in the state of WI we are not allowed to. But I would if I could!!

I will do a micro before a peel on some people but never on a first peel and never after a peel. Once I know the client and how their skin reacts I am more free to be creative. As for how many layers-that all depends on your client (age, skin type, Fitz, lifestyle, skin prep, & goal). When you are first starting out with peels, better to err on the side of safety, especially with a new client or a first peel. Peels are wonderful tools in our bag of tricks, but you have to know what you are doing so you don't injure the client. You can't go wrong with PCA especially since they require ongoing education in order to get their peels. Just refer to your workbook!! Hope this helps.
