Question for CA. Estheticians: Is it a requirement to have a sink "in" the treatment room?

Hi Ladies!  After sitting on hold for 43 minutes (due to high volume call) with Barbercosmo finally decided to hang up and try tomorrow first thing in the morning.

I have an available treatment room once occupied by a massage therapist but has no sink in the room, however I do have a sink available in the suite break room with H/C running water.

I remember when I started out as an newbie, the treatment room (in a salon) had no running water and It was fine for me to work in the room without a sink.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows the answer to this question and I will try Stateboard in the morning....Again.. whew!

It took me a long time to get an real answer from ca state board, and even then it wasn't a concrete answer. I believe you need to have access to hot and cold running water, not necessarily in the room. Though. I'd love to hear what you find out, since I tried to get a specific answer twice and state board was less than helpful :/
Nicole, I sure will!

Nicole!!!!  I got through to State Board today (10 min wait) and it was confirmed that as long as I have a sink onsite (in my business) there doesn't need to be a sink in the treatment room!  This opens it up for an esthy to rent one of my treatment rooms!
